Color Palette Ideas

Here are some palette ideas for those of you that are struggling to find your look...

The first was inspired by my own wedding...Chocolate & Cream. I brought in accents of blush pink and champagne, but sage green, coral or a deep pink would all look beautiful too. Actually, chocolate and cream are both great foundation colors that you can build on for any wedding.

Second, a classic black and white affair...with a twist. I love infusing traditional colors with bright, bold hues. It is just such a fresh way to update a classic.

I really love both of these palettes. They are both old and new, classic and sophisticated. Plus, you won't ever get sick of them when you look back at your pictures!

I love the dress on the right in the b&w palette. Could you tell me who makes it? Thnx!

Monique Lhuillier:) It is beautiful!! I just updated the pictures with the appropriate links.

What wonderful color combinations. I honestly believe that selecting the basic colors for your wedding is the hardest task.

Hi Abby,

Beautiful pictures. =) I agree that cream and brown look beautiful and a great basis for any color theme. I noticed that a lot of color palettes and inspiration boards usually do not include red? Do you think it's a very harsh color and possibly too harsh for a wedding, or maybe just a personal preference?

Do you have any examples of adding a deep pink to the chocolate and cream color palette?
